Pick Me! Pick Me!

So there is this photographer, Brittani Renee, and her work is AMAZING!! I have always admired the photographs she takes and have always wanted our pictures taken by her. When Brayden was born, the money just wasn't there to spend on a photography session. The same when Conner was born. So when an opportunity came up to possibly win a free session by her, I was ecstatic! When I learned what the details were, I was a little deflated. You had to write a story, any story, and why you wanted the session. Then people vote to pick the best story. The first thought in my mind was that I had the perfect life....2 happy and healthy boys, a loving husband, a good job, a new home. I didn't know what I would write about to make people vote for my story. Unbeknownst to me, my sister knew how much I wanted our pictures taken by Brittani and knew my hesitation on writing a story. So she wrote up a story and submitted it for me. The story made me cry. My sister is amazing! So now we need your votes!!! I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to win this, so please help me out!!! Something New

Conner had his 4 month well check last week. I am happy to report that he is a healthy, growing, big boy! He weighed 17lbs 7oz (90th %) and was 26 inches long (75th %). Our pediatrician had asked me if he acted interested when we were eating. I hadn't really paid that much attention to it previously. She said we could start trying cereal with Conner if he was acting interested. I thought to myself that he is only 4 months old and how interested could he act about us eating. Well, that night I paid closer attention to him while we were eating and he was so excited and interested in us eating, that I thought he was going to crawl on the table and come get some food. So later that week I went out and bought some cereal for him. That night I made some up for him and sat down to feed him. He was so excited, his arms and legs were flailing! Although when he got his first taste, he was not so excited anymore! I got a couple spoonfuls in his mouth before he started gagging. Tonight was his 3rd night with the cereal and every night we keep getting more and more in him before the gagging starts!

My Baby is 4 Months Old

Okay...so it has been a whole month since I posted last. I keep telling myself I am going to blog more often and then life happens and before I know it, a whole month has gone by. Life is just flying past me and I can't slow it down!
My baby turns 4 months old today! My little baby has turned in to quite a chunker! He weighs in at 16 pounds 13 ounces already! He is taking after his big brother! He has his 4 month check on Monday and I am anxious to see where he is on the growth charts.
He continues to be the happiest baby ever. Always smiling and giggling. All you have to do is look at him and he has a grin from ear to ear. He adores watching his big brother running around and playing. Brayden really knows how to get him to smile.
He went for his first camping trip a couple weeks ago and wasn't really a big fan. He is definitely a fair weather baby and didn't like the warm days. He stayed in his Nana and Papa's trailer in the air conditioning a lot of the time. Since our little camping trip, he is no longer sleeping through the night either. I hope this is just a little phase he is going through because this Mommy is tired!
